Storytelling |

Off the Page offers storytelling
sessions for primary schools, providing pupils the opportunity to listen to
a combination of original and traditional stories. The storyteller will also
presents to pupils a range of practical activities to kick start the
imagination ready for story writing.
All of Off the Pages leaders are
skilled storytellers, and will tell numerous stories throughout the day to
give the pupils experience of a range of genres and styles of stories.
Teachers have the option of choosing a storytelling day based on specific
themes or a day which covers a wide range of themes.
- Fact, faction, fiction
- Stories from Tudor England
- Stories from the fens
- ‘Mix and match’ (Stories from
different periods.)
The day can be designed to suit
you and your children. Generally original, unpublished stories will be used.
From time to time stories have been specially written for a particular
group. This is still possible but plenty of time must be allowed.
