Explore the life and times of Florence Nightingale with Off the Page. The one day course (for up to 60 key stage one pupils) includes:

Session one [before morning break]:

• Introduction-in classroom

• Meet the character-either Florence Nightingale or Sidney Herbert, telling the children about the life and work of Miss Nightingale

• Investigating and handling artefacts in our travelling museum.

Session two [after morning break]:

• Role play: running the hospital. Cleaning, counselling, bandaging, making herbal remedies etc.

After lunch

•  Workshops [all practical activities relevant to the life and work of Florence Nightingale, such as making pill boxes, lockets, prescription books, brassards]
