Health & Safety

A separate health and safety sheet is sent out in advance of our visit.  Risk Assessment notes are provided in the booklet sent out in the pack approximately 5/6 weeks prior to our visit.

Allergies/Health & Safety

We like to know in advance if any pupils/adults have any allergies.
Nuts are not used in any of our workshops.
Egg white is used for “ink making” on the Castles, Saxon & Viking Days.

Food & Drink on Courses

The school is asked to provide food (bread, cheese and squash) on certain History Days.  Further notes are found in the booklet, which is sent out at the time of booking.

Preparation

Any food preparation must be done by adults at lunchtime in the staff room or other suitable area. School safety guidelines should be followed.

After the food has been prepared it should be covered with paper cloths, provided by History Off The Page.

Before Putting out the pewter and wooden plates on Tudor and Castles days, they must be wiped with an anti-bacterial cloth. These will be provided by History Off The Page.

Serving

Where food is served, on all except the Castles and the Tudor days, children will be given a paper serviette instead of a plate on which to put their food. These will be provided by History Off The Page.

Plates will be lined with paper serviettes which History Off The Page will provide.

Clearing Up

After the banquet on Tudor and Castles days, the plates should be wiped of crumbs and places back in the labelled boxes.

After the goblets are washed they must be wiped with the paper towels, provided by History Off The Page. Tea towels should not be used.
