Focusing on the creative aspects of English, Off the Page INSET will take the literacy hour in a new direction. Our workshops are designed to aid the teacher in encouraging imaginative writing and language without worksheets. Our workshop will enable teachers to use a multi-sensory approach, which brings the wider world and personal experience into the classroom to inform the pupils creative work.

Off the Page INSET or English courses include:

• Stories are everywhere (KS1)

• Stories are everywhere (KS2)

• Storytelling (KS2)

• Mystery off the Page (KS 2)

• Descriptive writing - making children's description live.

In all cases clear, manageable methods will be shown and tried, classroom organisation addressed, resources and equipment recommended. The sessions are informal, practical and relaxed, and offer a wealth of stimulating and exciting ideas for the specialist and non-specialist alike.
