    History Off the Page  will recreate an historical era in your school with up to 90 children. History Off the Page provides valuable learning opportunities to the pupils through a combination of role-play, practical activities and hands- on experience with facsimile artefacts.

    Life in Ancient Egypt
    1460 BC. Preparations for the festival of the Nile are made during the morning, while celebrations take place during the afternoon.  More>>

    Life in Ancient Greece
    490 BC. The battle of Marathon. The pupils will take the roles of Athenian citizens and slaves at the time of the battle of Marathon. From the safety of the Agora, the pupils will await news of the outcome, discussing the events that led to this pivotal date in Greek history.  More>>

    Life in Roman Britain
    60 AD the Boudiccan revolt. The pupils will take the roles of Roman citizens and slaves during the Boudiccan revolt. From their settlement, the pupils will await news of the outcome, discussing the events that led to this dangerous time in the history of Roman occupied Britain.  More>>

    The Dark Ages ~ Saxons & Vikings
    625 AD: The Sutton Hoo burial. The pupils will take the roles of Saxon villagers at the time of the Sutton Hoo burial. The pupils will discover how this event affected  the lives of  the Saxons during the seventh century.  More>>

    The Tudors
    Through drama and role-play, a Tudor household comes to life on either 19th May 1536 (death of Anne Boleyn) or   24thOctober 1537 (death of Jane Seymour).  More>>

    A Tudor Christmas
    Through drama and role-play, a Tudor household preparing for the Christmas celebrations comes to life. The date is 24th December 1536, and combines historical information about the life of Henry VIII  and how Christmas was celebrated in the late medieval period.  More>>
