Unusual History Careers Revealed
Check out the February 2021 issue of BBC History magazine to meet one of our teachers!
Our teacher Fiona Charlesworth has worked with Off the Page full-time since 2016. She visits schools in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, London and beyond to provide workshops in almost every topic we provide. On any given day she might be anything from an ancient Egyptian to Florence Nightingale.
A Background in History
As she states in the BBC History article, Fiona originally earned a history degree from Cardiff University before studying teaching at the University of Cambridge. Her degrees and her previous teaching experience serve her well at Off the Page.
Not only does Fiona present our workshops, but she helps research them, as well! She was instrumental in research and writing two of our new Roman and 1940s virtual workshops, and she is currently researching and writing a virtual Tudor workshop, too.
Learn more about Fiona, her passion for history and her work with Off the Page in the February 2021 issue of BBC History.
